A couple of days before Christmas we finally moved aboard our new boat. It took us a while to figure out what we wanted to do after selling Camille a year and a half ago. We considered buying a house with some land, traveling by land, moving to Europe, etc. We came back up to the Pacific Northwest to look at some properties and spent a couple of weeks house shopping. But every time we drove past a marina we talked about what kind of boat we could buy after buying some property and all the places we would go on said boat. Turns out maybe we don’t want chickens and ducks as much as we thought. So we abandoned the idea of the little farm and started boat shopping mid-November.

Meet “Limerick”. She is a 36 foot trawler designed my Ed Monk and is hull number one — but with her custom swim-step she is closer to 40 feet overall. Remember that list we made of requirements for our next boat? Well, she covers a lot of those but new she is not! Oh, and did we mention she is not a sailboat?! Yes, the PacificSailors have gone to the dark side. But she’s a trawler, so we’ll still be going at about the same speed 🙂

Two staterooms. Two heads. Lots of space for visitors!

Two years later: check out some of the changes and updates we have made!
