Mike and Verena are both 100-ton USCG near-shore masters with sailing and towing endorsements.

We have sailed thousands of miles on both the US east and west coasts, Alaska, Canada, Europe, the Mediterranean, and Atlantic and Pacific crossings.

In our professional lives, we have worked aboard a variety of research vessels as captains and hydrographers from the Bering Sea to the Chesapeake Bay, and from the Great Lakes to the Florida Keys for over 20 years.
