Mike and Verena have been 100-ton USCG near-shore masters with sailing and towing endorsements for nearly 20 years.

Since 2004, we have worked as captains and hydrographers on research vessels ranging in size from 20 to 230 feet. We have worked all over the US, from the Bering Sea to the Chesapeake Bay, from Texas to Alabama, from the Columbia River to the Great Lakes and the Florida Keys.

On our own boats, we have sailed thousands of miles on the US east and west coasts, Alaska, British Columbia, the Mediterranean, and across the Atlantic and Pacific.
