Before we decide what gear to add (or remove) from Limerick we are taking her out on a shake-down cruise for a few weeks and getting to know her.
From Seattle we headed up to the San Juan Islands with a stop-over in Mystery Bay near Port Townsend. The past few of days were like summer in January. Well, maybe not as warm – we sure love the Webasto heater the previous owner installed! There is a small system pulling through today so we are hiding out at Rosario Resort and enjoying their spa facilities which are included in the moorage.
All photos in this post were taken in Watmough Bay on Lopez Island with views of Mount Baker and the Olympics.
Love the pics and I know you are as happy as clams!
You bet!! Hope you guys are are doing well!
Beautiful. Looks like you are loving her already.
So far so good. Not too many leaks or too many breakages. 🙂
Beautiful! I’d love to know where these were taken. We’re always on the look out for great spots in the San Juans.
All these photos were taken in Watmough Bay on Lopez Island. Beautiful spot! (I added it to the post – thanks for pointing out my omission)
Beautiful photos safe travels
Thank you! Always nice to hear.
Your pictures are stunning! So different from the East Coast and the Bahamas… So many places to sail..so little time.
Thanks Tammy! Yes, very different. And quite cold this time of year. But I find it very invigorating after cruising (and sweating) in the tropics.
So how long until Gitta & Herbert join you, it looks great, the water is not to rough for me, I think.
You would love it. No waves! I doubt they will come up here – my Papa hates the cold and rain!
